Are you looking for the best Indian food in Leipzig? The place where you find the combination of Indian food, Indian culture and Indian hospitality, the right place is our creation Indian Crown in the heart of Leipzig.
My girlfriend and I love to eat with you. We'll be back immediately after the corona lockdown.
Where is the symbol for the minus stars here? Normally I don't rate restaurants because it's about taste, I thought, but something like that which our group experienced here in October doesn't work and I still get upset! + There is one star for the toppings. - - - - Masks were worn under the chin or on the turban! - - --We had to wait 70 minutes for the main course. The six guests at the next table waited about as long. - - It went through the entire lower floor. The front door and the door to the courtyard were open all the way through. We know that the room should be aired during CORONA times, but not for the entire 2.5 hours of our stay. - - - - In the waiting time I observed very disgusting things; a waitress coughed into his hands and served the guests without disinfecting their hands or going into the washroom. The same man blew his nose a few times into a huge, checkered handkerchief and then served again without cleaning his hands! - - In my opinion, the tables were very close to each other. How can the minimum distance be maintained? - - - --- In the men's toilet the disinfectant dispenser was not changed even though one of the employees happened to be present at the same time and saw it! - - The food consisted of very small portions and we even had to ask again about rice - yes, actually about rice! - - In the long waiting time it was not explained why it took so long, whether something was going to happen at all, there was no excuse, no one even asked if we would like to have a drink ... Hello! we are guests and are only dealt with approvingly and silently? Is that hospitality? Does that make business sense? - The food didn't really convince me as an Indian dish, it was very European. - - - - At the end we got a dispute between the waitress and the guests at the next table. The waitress did not want to separate the bills of the six guests, but instead put all the guests at a table on one bill. They complained about this and wanted separate bills. "The waitress" asked the guests to calculate their own bill and asked one of the six guests provocatively during the second conversation that ER probably couldn't do the math. What else do you think of? Again, this is the completely wrong way to retain customers! In spite of everything, I will come back ... and I'm already looking forward to it ... because either everything has now changed for the better, if not; I now know who I should teach by phone immediately ...!
It is one of the best restaurants in Leipzig catering to the Indian Subcontinent diaspora. The restaurant maintains its food quality and their bar service is equally good. Worth a visit if you are in the city.
Good ambience, friendly staff. Food is really tasty. I would recommend to go there and have food.
Always worth the stop. Best Indian Restaurant in Leipzig. Fast, friendly and delicious!
The food is good and plentiful, the service is nice but too tight and there are no distance rules here. That’s not that good. That should be revised
Once again we ate very tasty here. The service is always friendly and attentive. The dishes are fresh and come to the table quickly after ordering. We would love to come back.
My favorite indian dish, dal makahni So delicious... Service was great. Food was really really good. I've been to many indian restaurants and there are few who can do this dish justice. For what I got, the price was also just fine. Atmosphere was okay. It was quite full... Don't think the 1.5m rule for tables was measured correctly.
Price is a bit high but the food is really amazing.
Very good Indian food in a nice atmosphere. The choice is almost endless and everything we ordered tasted excellent and almost authentically Indian, just not so hot because of the European tastes.
We spontaneously went to lunch at the Indian Crown and were warmly welcomed. We had a free choice of seats and sat down at a table for two who could choose. However, some were very nicely situated and others very unfavorable. This was a major shortcoming. The waitresses are friendly, but not very quick when something happens. So we waited longer for the bill than for the drinks. The food was served quickly and tasted very good. We'd love to come back later.
Trample Corona guidelines with your feet! Reserved a table during the week. We were taken by a waiter without a mask to a table that was 30 cm away from other tables on either side. Left again, something irresponsible shouldn't be supported.
Good Indian with lots of choice. However, you should make sure to sit downstairs in the restaurant. The atmosphere on the upper floor is not very cozy, rather sterile.
Service was quick, food came in a decent time. It was okay, but nothing more. For people who are very hungry, be sure to add a starter.
This restaurant can’t cope when it’s busy. We waited almost 1 hour and 30 minutes for our main course which was very mediocre. No spice at all. The staff were nice but they were not wearing face masks which was off putting. Won’t be returning.
Food okay, the rice cold, the service underground. After a waiting time of almost an hour, the only question that was answered was how long it would take. The bill should then be split between six people. The waitress was too lazy to do the math himself and said we should do it ourselves. Never again!
Lovely food, I live in Spain and I have to say I dont like Indian food here, I was missing a nice curry and that is exactly what I got. I do not put 5 stars as I would have prefer the staff of the restaurant to be wearing a mask. Decoration of the place is very nice and everything looks very clean. They did serve us even when we got there a little late. Totally recomended.
Unfortunately the waiters didn't have mouth and nose protection. Overall, the service was overwhelmed and it was hectic. Food ok, but nothing special. Very, very mild and with a more European flavor. Price performance not justified.
Very tasty and friendly. But the delivery of the bill took at least 15 minutes and had to be changed again. Has spoiled the beautiful evening a bit.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere and outdoor seating. I had excellent service and was very happy with my food. The lamb vindaloo is not nearly as spicy as advertised, but has great flavor. Don't be afraid to try it if you are hesitant to eat spicy food. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Leipzig.
Overall it was delicious, but we were missing that certain something and the naan bread could have been bigger. Service quick and friendly.
Was better than the other Indian restaurants in city centre
Delicious food from a decent range of dishes. Polite staff with nice service will make eating at this place a wonderful experience.
Great food great service
The food was delicious, some of them didn't feel great afterwards - service was average, long waiting times are to be expected. So generally quite good, but we wouldn't go there again specifically. And with a large number of guests who all order several courses, we know it so that at the end you get something small (with Indian food mostly mango brandy) on the house. Here you had the feeling to order dessert / coffee was only moderately desired. Too bad.
OH MY GOD !!! THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENTLY DELICIOUS !!! WE HAD INDIAN AND DÖNER! IT WAS BOTH NICE FILLED AND WE WERE SATISFIED AND PRICE / PERFORMANCE TOP !!! I CAN ONLY RECOMMEND THE INDIAN SUPPLY CHAIN !!!!!! THE INDIAN DISHES SO DELICIOUSLY FLAVORED AND FULLY FILLED. THE EMPLOYEES TOTALLY NICE AND FRIENDLY! FROM NOW NEVER AGAIN ASIAN OR GREEK! NOW ONLY INDIAN AND ORIENTAL???? the people from these countries are totally warm and friendly.
Very good Indian cuisine at affordable prices right in the heart of Leipzig. The staff is very friendly and tried hard. We enjoyed a couple of very pleasant and tasty lunches here. Thanks a lot for this!
Too sweet curry even when we told to make it spicy because we were indian. Then after most of the staff were like we cant do anything about it and you have to order new dish. They did not even inform their boss. There were so many other restaurant near by you can try there.
Didn't got authentic taste, service was not satisfactory, even after a complain, main responsible person was not informed.
It was very bad experience. I more disappointed with their service. I didn't even get a little bit indian taste.
Very modern and very clean. And air conditioned !! Today at 36 ° a real blessing :) You can also sit outside, but it was just too warm for that today. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty!! In advance there were three delicious sauces with papadam on the house. As a starter, Chicken Pakoras. A really large portion that is enough for two to share :) There is also tamarind sauce. The main course is delicious butter chicken with a garlic naan. But after that we were also fed up;) As a drink, we had also treated ourselves to a Mango Lassi, which also smells good. All in all, probably the best Indian in Leipzig in our opinion, reasonable prices complete the impression. We will be back!
Very, very large selection. Very tasty food and portions are absolutely sufficient. A dream in terms of taste. Despite the well-stocked restaurant, the food is served quickly. Friendly staff. Prices are ok too. Nothing but nothing to complain about
Very fast and nice service. A nice, clean atmosphere inside and outside. Only that the waiters change during the visit bothers now and then. The food was very good, served hot and with free bread and various toppings. If you like Indian food, you can really recommend this address.
The place did not much the expectations, and quality/price was not met. We had vegetarian BBQ which arrived already burned in the bottom and cold on the top, and vegetable biryani which was not made on the open fire, but rather was just boiled rice mixed with frozen supermarket veggies with spices. I asked for the tap water and received:”it is not possible” even though we also ordered other drinks. And for this we are paying almost 50 eur!!! Huge disappointment. PS. It is 2020, please stop using plastic straws!!!
??
We would like to come again. The smell was wonderful as you passed. The menu has many vegetarian options. The food was delicious and varied. Despite the well-attended outdoor terrace, we were served very quickly. Thank you very much.
Yummy yummy
Nice Indian food. The chili garlic naan was great. The fried chicken filets starter was okay but not must have. Main dish we had mango curry chicken and it was a bit too sweet for me. It would be better, if with much stronger curry flavor. The mango lassi was nice but could had more mango flavor and more ice-cold.
I have visited here and have a dinner .Food is very delicious and owner and staff behaviour is very nice and both are friendly. If anyone want the real taste of indian food then i recommed to everyone to visit here. I reall appreciate to indian crown team.
Great Indian food. The butter chicken was on point!
Best Chicken, love it :)
Expensive and quantity is too less.
Awesome food and very good service.. ❤️❤️??
Great food, affordable prices, very quick service!
Delicious
Amazing combination of taste and service
Too expensive for its quality. Its the same like any other indian restaurant but it has almost double prices.
Verry good
Best Indian food ever in Germany.
